Allen Park Precinct Works

Updates about work by the Perth Children’s Hospice Foundation or their builders (Hospice) or the City of Nedlands (CoN) that may effect parking, or access to the Club.

Hospice

December 2024: The overflow carpark has been resurfaced with road base that has been packed and sealed. Once this was completed , the back row of car bays in the main car park along with some northern middle row car bays have been fenced off by the Hospice for truck access and excavating the building site has commenced. Please leave the last two bays of the middle row clear so that traffic may circulate around the car park in a clockwise direction.

November 2024: West to West Group appointed as the Builder. Construction Management Plan approved by Council. Most of the site offices will be in the South East corner of the overflow car park.

October 2024: WABC sewer line redirected successfully (3 October) with minimal inconvenience.

City of Nedlands (CoN)

Current: The Council would like WABC to relinquish a small part of the current lease (North East corner) for the “Snake-head” to connect the car park path to the area between the bridge club and the Hospice.

November 2024 : Path painted and wheel stops installed on both sides of the car park. The wheel stops on the Eastern side were then removed as this will be the truck access during the construction of the Hospice.

October 2024: Car park trees & ACROD bollards removed. Car park bays line marking removed and repainted (Retro Roads). The first bay on the left as you enter sticks out and this has been pointed out to the council.

July 2024: Petition presented to the Council of Nedlands asking that the 2017 Allen Park Masterplan be endorsed and that the Norn Bidi Trail be redesigned (ie, relocated to the East side of the car park).
